The Foundation is a spiritually based non-profit, charitable organization in the St. Louis Region.  Its mission is to enhance the educational, emotional, cultural and social needs of the community, reflecting sound belief systems and values, creating a vision of hope for children and young adults, while building and maintaining a support system to make these visions become a reality.

Since its inception, the Foundation has sponsored 31 children representing the Eagles Track Club of the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club.  The Foundation paid registration fees for participantsí to the AAU Track and Field Nationals in North Carolina and made generous contributions to St. Paul Saturdays (a manhood leadership and development group).

Children are our countryís most precious asset, thus, Foundation members have a firm belief that a child must be educationally prepared for success.  For this reason, the Foundation sponsors an annual ìBack to School Giveawaysî.  This event, hosted at the Hoover Boys and Girls Club, has provided school supplies to over 10,000 children and their families.

Furthering Joe Torryís commitment to the youth of the St Louis Metropolitan Area, the Foundation will sponsor the Seventh  Annual Joe Torry Foundation Celebrity Basketball Challenge on July 10, 2004 at the University of Missouri (UMSL) in St. Louis, Missouri.  This exciting event will showcase NBA, motion picture, network television and music entertainers as the ìhoop it upî for the social and educational development of area youths.  This project is just another magnification of Joeís commitment to children, the community and his belief in Godís principles.
