2003 Highlights

 August, 2003, thousands waited outside the Herbert Hoover Boys Club in the heat to enter the Joe Torry Foundation's 6th Annual Back To School Giveaway. This is the Foundation's annual event to "give back the love".
Over 800 school supplies were distributed to youth in grades K-12.
Barbers donated their time and resources to get everyone ready for school. To add to the festivities, food donations from Pepsi and Church's Chicken were distributed.
In addition to school supplies, the Wheel game provided an opportunity to win free shoes, a video game, t-shirt, hat, jersey, or food coupon.
And as always, Joe Torry was on hand to meet youth and sign autographs.
